A Crowd Favourite: Fruit Pizza

 

Summer is here and that means barbecues and other outdoor events. Busy moms are often looking for a quick and easy yet delicious recipe to bring to these events. It’s even better if one of your kids can make it for you! This recipe checks all those boxes. It is made quickly, uses easy common ingredients, and is delicious. This is a crowd favourite every time it appears! 

A Crowd Favourite: Fruit Pizza

Course Dessert

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup margarine
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 3 tbsp. milk
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp. baking powder

Topping Ingredients

  • 250 g package of cream cheese
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • Assorted sliced fruit

Instructions
 

  • Mix all crust ingredients. (It is thick like a sugar cookie dough.)
  • Spread onto a cookie sheet or pizza pan. (Using wax paper over it helps press it down without sticking to your hands.)
  • Bake the crust for 12-15 minutes at 375 degrees.
  • Let the crust cool.
  • Blend cream cheese and sugar well.
  • Spread over the cooled crust.
  • Top with sliced fruit of your choice.
  • Serve and enjoy.

You can play around with different fruit combinations to see what your family enjoys best! Berries are always a tasty choice, but there are many other possible additions. This is a delicious dessert that everyone will enjoy.
