Hey, Mama! Homeschool Show How Should We Celebrate the Homeschool Mom? Photograph of little girl dancing with her mom

Homeschool moms, there are so many reasons to celebrate you for your service to your families! But is there danger in just focusing on ourselves for one day on Mother’s Day? What if we are not celebrated as moms as we think we should be? We observe Mother’s Day once a year, but Heaven celebrates moms every day when we do the eternal work of making God’s Son known to our children and living a cross-centered life. Hear Deborah Wuehler’s gentle and interesting perspective on the work of a mother in Episode 14 of the Hey, Mama! Homeschool Show: “How Should We Celebrate the Homeschool Mom?

We are hard-pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed—always carrying about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body.” (2 Corinthians 4:8–10 NKJV)

“He grants the barren woman a home, like a joyful mother of children. Praise the Lord!” (Psalm 113:9 NKJV)

A woman came to Him having an alabaster flask of very costly fragrant oil, and she poured it on His head as He sat at the table. But when His disciples saw it, they were indignant, saying, ‘Why this waste?’  . . . Wherever this gospel is preached in the whole world, it will also be told what this woman has done as a memorial to her.” (Matthew 26:7–13 NKJV)

O righteous Father! The world has not known You, but I have known You; and these have known that You sent Me. And I have declared to them Your name, and will declare it, that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them.” (John 17: 25–26 NKJV)
