Gena Suarez

Hey Mama,

Have a lighter day than planned today, if you can. Today all the “stuff” will get done, but you and I both should remember:
  1. It doesn’t have to be done perfectly.
  2. Two weeks from now, how important will it still be?
  3. There are precious little “things” far more crucial to tend to: hearts that you are molding, little faces needing kissing.
  4. It may not all get done. Who cares, right? There’s always tomorrow.
Today CAN be light. It CAN be full of laughter instead of furrowed brows and rushed activities. Drop a couple things if you must. House not clean? Again–in two weeks, will you care that on today your house was a pit? I know I won’t.

Today I’m playing with my kids. I’ll work, too. I’ll even brush my hair (maybe). But I’m going to try to keep my priorities in place: And my “stuff” can wait.

~ gena

“I look forward to THM every Wednesday. I really enjoy Deborah’s articles. For some reason, it must be God, she always writes about what I am needing to hear. Her ability to put scripture and God in the middle of all her articles keeps me coming back. I recently have been enjoying the Youngs’ [articles] because I have a young man (10) in my house. The encouragement of the Youngs is fabulous. I thank God for parents like them that pave the way for parents like myself and my husband.”
