Sometimes when it comes to studying vocabulary words, it can get boring. Making it fun can sometimes be hard. I found that taking my children’s vocabulary or even spelling words and putting them into a crossword puzzle can be a great way to make it fun and the Crossword Maker (Full License) makes it easy for me!

The Crossword Maker is a downloadable program to your computer. After you download it, you can use it at anytime that you may need it. There are no limits on the number of crosswords you can make, and they are very easy to make.

There are three steps to creating your crossword puzzle. First, you have the choice to make a freeform crossword or a symmetrical crossword. The freeform will only use the words you provide, while symmetrical will use some of your words as well as other words to make the puzzle symmetrical. We preferred the freeform puzzle at this time for the kids.

After picking your puzzle type, you will add your words and clues. You are able to decide if what size you want the puzzle to be as the final step. Now, you are ready to print your crossword and the answer key, if you want, and hand it over to your kids!

I am able to use this with all three of my school age kids, from 1st grade all the way up to a junior in high school! This is one of those programs that works well with all ages and is well worth the investment. I am able to make simple, easy crosswords for my youngest, add in more difficulty for my middle child and even more difficulty for my oldest, or myself!

I love finding programs that I can use for all ages within my homeschool. This is one of those programs. I can customize it for each one of my children. I can use it for whatever it is that we are learning about. I can use vocabulary words from history, language arts or even foreign languages. What better way to work on our words than to have a little fun!

If you are looking for a program that can be used throughout your homeschool years, this is that program! We look forward too many years to come with this program.
