The Vertiplay Tree Top Adventure Wall Toy, from Oribel, is cute and whimsical. The Tree Top Adventure has a colorful and bright background with little woodland creatures living amongst its green branches. But the real fun comes when Mr. Caterpillar races down the path; passing friends along the way until he bumps into an acorn at the bottom. The Tree Top Adventure wall toy costs $39.90.

The Tree Top Adventure wall toy affixes to any smooth surface with its sticker-lined backing. When you start Mr. Caterpillar at the top of the tree he whizzes down the path, bumps into a friend on a swing, which makes the friend go flying, passes through the mushroom tower, and over a bumpy trail before coming to a stop at the acorn blocking his path. And there he rests snuggly awaiting his next race down the path. The toy is made for children two years old and up.

I attached the wall toy to the bookshelf in our playroom. My two and four-year-old children especially enjoy playing with the toy. My six-year-old played with it and even my eight and eleven-year-olds had to give it a few tries. I like that Mr. Caterpillar has a place to rest when not being played with. This means he’s less likely to get lost. I also like that it isn’t another toy taking up floor space or shelf space. It’s not very big and it’s cute which makes it more like a decoration rather than just another toy cluttering the room. It is a simple, yet engaging toy. My only complaint is the price. I think it is a bit overpriced for what you are getting. I could see that price being justified if the wall toy did more things. Perhaps a longer path, different noises, or more interaction would make it worth almost $40.

The Tree Top Adventure wall toy is a well-made and fun game-like toy. I personally would not purchase it for reasons stated above concerning the price of the product. However, I still think it is a great product and enjoy watching my children play with it.
