Prudence and The Millers/Prudence and Your Health Workbook Review by Lisa Barthuly & FamilyGreen Pastures Press
HC 67, Box 91-A
Mifflin, PA 17058
Prudence and the Millers has the Miller children learning about health, safety and courtesy from the Bible. This 190-page paperback is recommended for ages 7+, but as with all the Millers books, our whole family enjoys these stories. Prudence and the Millers contains 27 true to life stories that demonstrate sensible living, according to the Bible, with scriptures and references included.
We just love the Millers. The stories are all so wonderful, wholesome, and are such a fine example to our children! Prudence and the Millers makes an excellent study for the entire family to share, on making wise choices. The accompanying workbook, Prudence and Your Health, is fun learning! This workbook helps our children to understand the basics of the human body and taking care of ourselves as God intended. Prudence and Your Health addresses healthy attitudes, the human skeletal system, care of our teeth, exercise, fire safety, water safety, nutrition, 'being a lady', 'being a gentleman', and the list goes on. All lessons are built upon the stories in Prudence and the Millers, using puzzles, questions, vocabulary, true or false questions, discussions, and more! This makes for a fun health curriculum. It has been an excellent addition to our homeschool lessons and just great family reading! As always, the Millers series is VERY highly recommended!
