The Busy Woman's Guide to Total Fitness Review by Stephanie D. Scarborough

Admittedly, this is one of the most difficult reviews I have completed in a while because I would sit down to review The Busy Woman's Guide to Total Fitness and become so captivated by what I was reading that I would forget to make notes for the review. However, this "challenge" definitely speaks to the applicability of this book and the readability of the writing style.

This book, by title, is written to busy women who must use their time wisely. Furthermore, the definition of total fitness, which is the blending of the spiritual and the physical, can clearly help us manage our lives. This book focuses on our worship of our Personal Trainer. Our workouts don't have to be drudgery, nor will they be if they become an extension of our worship.

As with all books, the table of contents tells what to expect in the book. This book starts out with an introduction called We're All Busy, and proceeds with subjects that address fitness for our spirit, soul, and body equaling total fitness. This guide includes:

  •   Quick and easy nutrition tips
  •   Specific scriptures for meditation
  •   Stress-relieving exercises
  •   One minute exercises for home/office
  •   Energizing 20-min workout

However, to experience the changes we must have an action plan so each chapter ends with a Making it Personal section.

This review is designed to give you an overview of this book and the information contained within it. However, what cannot be expressed is the richness of information and the transformation of heart and body that can take place in each busy woman's life if she takes the time to read and apply His principles which have been made practical by The Busy Woman's Guide to Total Fitness.
