This 8" x 9" board book for ages 4-7 has all kinds of prayers for all occasions. It is thoughtfully organized, starting out with the Lord's Prayer and then moving on to prayers for oneself, family, friends, pets and animals, sickness, sadness, fear, forgiveness, Easter, and Christmas. There is also a table grace, a bedtime prayer, and the Twenty-third Psalm. The illustrations by Charlotte Roederer are simple, colorful pictures that fit well with the accompanying prayers. Sidebars on every page help explain prayer, holidays, and other concepts in a conversational tone. Many of the prayers are inspired by specific Bible verses, which can help teach the habit of incorporating Scripture into our prayers. All of the text is given in both English and Spanish. This sweet and comforting book would be great for young English-speaking children who are learning Spanish--or vice versa!
