I was able to review the music CD You Are Enough by Megan Schoenbohm this summer. This physical CD has 9 songs and is in a lovely cardboard slipcase.

The songs on this CD are: "You Are Enough", "Good Humans", "Wherever You Go", "If You Like, "A Bird and a Bee and a Hedgehog", "My Teacher", "Animal Boogie", "My Friend" and "Beyond the Clouds".

I am going to be very honest when I say that as a family, we enjoyed these songs however there did not seem to be any Christian background to them at all. They are all fun, upbeat songs that do teach or focus on good character or moral traits, positive self-image ECT, but they do not go any further than that. There are references to "Mother Nature" in "Good Humans".

Our personal favorites were "You Are Enough" which stresses the idea that as a person you are good enough. I discussed with my children explaining there is truth in this but each of us is not good enough to get to heaven on our own. I do not think she intended to imply that but be aware that several songs that may prompt discussions.

We also really liked "Animal Boogie" and this one was just plain fun with no heavier meanings possible. "Wherever You Go", "If You Like" and "A Bird and a Bee and a Hedgehog" are all about the joy of having young children and enjoying them. These are super sweet songs. I absolutely loved them!

My children are ages nine, six, three, and one. All four enjoyed the songs, so I think these appeal to elementary age or younger children. I do love the artwork on the CD case. Its vibrant, peaceful, and fun!

I do believe this can be a fun asset to your home especially if you take the opportunity to discuss in-depth some of the topics brought forth. We have listened to them multiple times as a family. The CD is $15. This would make a great gift to families with young children!
