Are you a busy mom who would love for her children to learn piano, but do not have the time to drive to lessons? Would you like the flexibility of being able to do lessons when they fit into your schedule and from the comforts of your own home? Then Busy Kids Do Piano is what you are looking for.

Busy Kids Do Piano is an online piano course geared toward the busy family. Carly, the mom behind Busy Kids Do Piano, has over thirteen years of experience teaching music. Her courses are designed to be self-paced and done in the luxury of your own home, making it fit nicely into any schedule. There are options for a monthly, yearly, or lifetime membership. One membership can be used for the entire household; however, you can choose to add sibling accounts if you would like everyone to be able to track their progress separately.

If your child has played before, there is an assessment they can take which will help determine a good starting point in the Busy Kids Program. If they are just starting out, then they will begin in Level 1. There are seven levels inall. Each level is divided into four modules. In addition to the lessons, there is also bonus material your child can unlock, games, monthly challenges, and the recital hall where they can upload a video of themselves playing.

The lessons are composed of a mixture of videos and downloadable worksheets. The professional-quality videos are taught by Carly, who has a warm and welcoming personality. My daughter would download the worksheets to work through and then watch the videos. She found it was helpful to be able to watch the videos next to our piano since she was sometimes asked to play along with the video. Because of this, it will be best if you have a tablet or laptop where your child can view lessons.

My daughter has really enjoyed the lessons and she is eager to progress. She was excited to unlock the first bonus song and has been working hard learning to play it.

Because this is a self-paced video course, it will work better with a student who is self-motivated to learn. My son initially started the course as well because I wanted him to, but it quickly dissipated because he did not have the self-discipline to sit through the lessons or want to practice. Without a live instructor and being a busy mom myself, there was no one to hold him accountable.

The comment threads in the lessons are active and responses from Carly are prompt. There is also a Private Facebook Page for support and encouragement. In addition, there are also helpful blog articles. Articles focus on enrichment, helpful tips, and even member spotlights.

For children who have a desire to learn piano, this course is a practical alternative to an in-person instructor.
