What CD plays almost daily (and sometimes for hours on end!) in this household? How many kids' music CDs do you know of that you can STAND after a couple hours? Do you want to know about one of the best "car time CDs" out there? Youngheart Music's Fun and Games, put out by the popular duo Greg and Steve (recipients of seven Parents' Choice Awards), is a good one to try! The CD cover is colorful and fun, inviting you in (note the crazy, flying rooster on the front cover!). Entertaining and witty, the songs are energetic and you find yourself tapping your foot, unknowingly at first! This duo is talented and, apparently, others think so as well! Greg and Steve have sold around four million recordings to date, and were the first children's artists to ever perform at Carnegie Hall, which resulted in two sold out concerts. Not only that, they performed at the largest children's concert in history before an audience of 30,000 at the Greensboro Coliseum in North Carolina. In one three hour period, they sold 9,000 tickets, breaking all box-office records in Stockton, California. What does that tell you? Need I say more? Many public and private schools buy their music - it's good for education (some of their material appears in textbooks!). My second born son, Lukey, has memorized many of the lyrics and "boogies" to the tunes, making the rest of us laugh. With 12 songs to enjoy, I love "The Little Red Hen" and "Peanut Butter & Jelly," in particular. Each child has their own favorite, and as a family, we give Fun and Games by Youngheart Music a big high five! Well done!
