Jawsome Shark Quizzes is 248 pages of facts, and quizzes about sharks. This is a great book for upper elementary level to adults. There are four categories of trivia titled Making Waves in School, What a Fintastic Body, Hey Chums!, and Like, Totally Jawsome!. Making Waves in School discusses sharks as a species as well as general shark trivia. Next up is What a Fintastic Body which covers the anatomy and reproduction of sharks. Hey Chums! covers the relationship between humans and sharks. Finishing out the book is Like, Totally Jawsome! which is all about sharks in pop culture.

There is a lot of shark information crammed into this little book. My ten-year-old spent days spouting different shark facts as she devoured this book. The trivia questions infuse humor into the questions which got a lot of laughs on their own before she even read the answers. The answers are detailed and encourage the reader to think about different practices going on through the world. If you have a child who loves sharks you could easily incorporate lessons on geography, history and cultural studies into the readings. This is a fun book packed full of information that any animal or shark lover would enjoy reading.
