I am always looking for a good devotional for my junior high student that gets him reading and studying the Bible. This is exactly what I received when I received I Can Study Acts from Greek 'n' Stuff. I Can Study Acts is a part of the Alone With God Bible Study Series (KJV) by Karen Mohs. 

I Can Study Acts is a spiral bound workbook that will have your student read the entire book of Acts over fifty-two weeks’ worth of lessons. Each week focuses on just a partial chapter of Acts, while each day, Monday through Saturday, focuses on just a few verses from the partial chapter. Each Monday lesson has a memory verse for your student to memorize throughout the week. There are also facts printed in the margins each week that coordinate with the reading and dig a little deeper into the concepts that are read about. After Saturday's lesson each week, there is a section called "Think and Pray About It." This section encourages your student to dig deeper into what they learned throughout the week and it gives them a specific topic to pray about. Each individual day reminds the student to pray about what they will be studying and to read or recite the memory verse for the week. Each day also has specific questions on the verses the student read. These questions check their understanding of the portion of the passage they read. I Can Study Acts is a great resource for my son. He enjoys reading the short passage each day and answering specific questions. He likes the facts that are in the margins because they have helped him learn more about some of the concepts and people in Acts. My son appreciated the "Think and Pray About it Section" because it was direct and to the point. It clearly explained what the focus of the lessons were and what he should focus on praying for. He really has liked the work he has done in this devotional and will continue working on it until he completes all fifty-two weeks. I really like this devotional for him. It has my son digging deeper into his Bible and learning more about tough topics, but it divides it up into manageable sections so he doesn't feel overwhelmed while reading the Bible. I also like the specific questions that check for his understanding because I can quickly look over them and see that he did the reading and understood it. I highly recommend I Can Study Acts for upper elementary and junior high school students. I will definitely be checking into the other three Bible studies in this series written by Karen Mohs after my son finishes this one on Acts.
