Straight Forward Math: Subtraction is a drill book comprised of only subtraction problems. There are 35 pages of both vertical and horizontal problems. This workbook cost $6.95.

Straight Forward Math: Subtraction is a workbook that helps students focus on one skill. You will not find any other type of problem in this workbook nor will you find instruction about subtraction. A child who uses this book will already need to know the meaning of subtraction. The practice sheets focuses on subtracting numbers 0-10 from numbers up to 18. Each subtrahend is given its own practice page with 100 problems. There are also practice pages where a variety of subtrahends are used. This workbook is a simple practice workbook that can be used to build subtraction skills or to help retain subtraction facts.

This workbook has been good practice for my soon-to-be eight year old. Subtraction is not her favorite part of math, but she has been willing to work through this workbook. The workbook also includes a beginning assessment and diagnostic tests at the end of each of the three sections. We use this book in the car as we head to different activities. She solves as many problems as she can before we reach our destination. This is a no-fuss book which helps students who have a basic understanding of subtraction get faster and more confident.
