Little Hands to Heaven / A Preschool Program for Ages 2-5 Review by Michelle Nicholson

"Little Hands to Heaven is a collection of 33 units based on stories from the Bible. The activities coordinate with daily Bible stories."

Each of the 33 units has a main Bible theme that is carried throughout the daily lesson in that unit. For example, Unit 10 is 'Joshua Leads Israel'. Each day has six activities, on day two the activities are; fingerplay (singing and hand motions), a Bible story, letter activities, a Bible activity, an art activity (with simple household items), and corresponding music.

Depending on the child, these may be done all at once, or broken up into small blocks of time.

The Bible Story may be done with a story Bible (recommended at this age) or using your own Bible. The corresponding music activities are done with The Singing Bible. (All supplemental Bibles may be purchased through Heart of Dakota Publishing.)

The Little Hands to Heaven program covers:

Letter recognition, letter formation, letter sounds, bible activities, art, colors, dramatic play, music... and more. I used this curriculum with my son who is right under two. It was a little premature for him, however, he is also VERY high strung! Had I used this program on my firstborn, it wouldn't have been an issue as he was/is very mellow. So, you will need to take into consideration your child's personality when deciding when to start this program. As a general guideline, I would recommend age 3 to 5.

I was very impressed with "Little Hands to Heaven." It is very thoughtfully laid out in a user-friendly format. I really appreciated how complete it and well put together it is! Most importantly, it is an excellent Bible based program! This is a great program to get those tender little hearts learning about God's love.
