The Adventure of Wormee the Worm Review by Christine Hindle

This is a softcover picture book of approximately 36 pages. This is a true picture book.   There are a few words in it (signs on pages, etc.), but there is no real story told with words. The entire story is told with the pictures. Apparently, Wormee the Worm goes on a Hawaiian vacation, surfs, and ends up making his new home inside of a pineapple. I cannot really tell if this vacation actually occurred, or whether it was just the product of Wormee's active imagination, but that does not matter in the long run. Small children will enjoy just "reading" the pictures, and their interpretation of the story is all that really matters.

This book sells for $9.57 on the AuthorHouse website. If you are looking for a book that the preschool set will enjoy "reading" themselves, this could be it. The only drawback would be the fact that it is a paperback, and could be easily damaged by small children.
