50 Ways to Feel Great Today Review by Karen Yuen

This easy-to-read and engaging book contains 50 strategies to beat the blues and banish worry, including incorporating physical and spiritual disciplines into your health routine. Changing how we feel often begins with small things, like listening to music, enjoying nature, or making family memories. One of the keys noted in this book is the amazing joy that can be created from finding ways to serve others. Not only are others blessed by your actions, but you will find joy unspeakable in the act of serving!

The book is loaded with easy and fun ideas that really do make you, even if you aren't feeling blue! For example, there are chapters encouraging exercise, napping, decluttering your life, reading good books, traveling, scrapbooking, gardening, keeping a journal to record blessings and the positives you see in yourself, and many more!

I've tried implementing some of these ideas by simply setting aside 15-30 minutes a few times a week to focus on things that will improve myself. For example, I've begun reading more, doing special activities with our children, and dating my husband. This book has reminded me that I need to live my life on purpose. Otherwise, time just slips by and is gone forever.

This book would make a great graduation gift, or it could be included as part of a gift basket for someone under the weather. Happy reading!
