Parking Pal Review by Charlsie Swadley

Parking Pal

This product is a circular magnet about six inches in diameter. In the middle of the circle is the outline of a small child sized hand. On the outer edge of the circle there are several different types of dinosaurs. On the website it says that there are several other designs including flowers, fish, alphabet, and planets.

To use this product you simply stick the magnet on your car and ask your child to place their hand on it and to not move from that spot. This is not a product specifically made for homeschoolers, but certainly can be useful to them. I think it would be especially helpful for a child who has trouble standing still and is tempted to move away from the car when they shouldn't.

I really like the idea behind this Parking Pal magnet. I like the fact that it is supposed to promote safety around vehicles. When I used it with my children, they thought it was fun to put their hands on the designs and to look at the dinosaurs.

The one thing I didn't like is that it was very easy to move so if you have a little one like I do who has lots of energy and who is smart, you might find that they are not exactly where you left them!

I honestly did not find that this helped me keep my children close to the car any better than my own method of telling them to put their hand on the car and not to move. I personally would not buy this item, but if you have trouble keeping your children safe in parking lots, this magnet might be a very good purchase for you.
