Acting Skills for Singers is designed to help children and adults of all ages learn to express themselves while singing. Priced at $54.95, it comes with two DVDs and a bonus booklet.
In Acting Skills for Singers Josefine Stark (the Stage Coach) and Marcia McCarry (the Voice Teacher) will help you learn about the nonvocal aspects of singing--body language, hand gestures, props, etc. The bonus booklet (called Singers' Secrets for Success) is divided into two parts: "Points for Singers in a Nutshell" and "Tips for a Great Performance."
In my opinion, Acting Skills for Singers is a great DVD for those who struggle with expressions and movements as they sing. The instructors emphasize following your instinct or what comes natural as you sing. They are also trying to teach you to have confidence in yourself. If you need to learn these skills, you will learn a lot from this DVD set.
