This book is designed to provide the classroom teacher with more ideas and activities for integrating technology into the classroom. It includes six chapters: Technology Operations and Concepts; Planning and Designing Learning Environments and Experiences; Teaching, Learning, and the Curriculum; Assessment and Evaluation; Productivity and Professional Practice; and Social, Ethical, Legal, and Human Issues.

The information included in this text is tied to the educational technology standards and performance indicators for all certified teachers. It aims to clarify how to put those standards into practice within a school environment. In my opinion, this resource is not one that can be used in a homeschool environment. It is specifically geared toward public school teachers, who are bound by state and national requirements. If you desire to teach technology to your child in your home, you might be able to use this resource as a guideline for structuring your lessons, but realize that the standards discussed are not legal requirements of homechoolers in general.

If I were a teacher in a public or private school environment, this product would certainly be beneficial to me. But I would not recommend this book for use in a homeschool.
