10 Days in Europe: The Unpredictable Game of Making Connections Review by Tom Parsons

Out of the Box Publishing

Pack you bags! It's time to take a trip across Europe with the exciting and always challenging 10 Days in Europe.

The premise is simple: chart a ten-day journey across Europe by plane, boat, car, or on foot. The first player to successfully plan their trip wins. However, the game is not quite as easy as it sounds. Your plans can change at any moment; the turn of a card can take you in a totally different direction than what you might have planned. In order to succeed, you need to not only master geography but also think quickly and adapt to changed plans.

The structure of the game emphasizes strategic thinking as well as map reading skills. This is not only a great way to teach geography, but it also challenges each player to think critically as the game progresses.

This game is appropriate for grades 5 and up. Given the skills required for success, the game can be as challenging for adults as it is for kids.

As with the other games in the 10 Days series, this will be a fun addition to your family time and geography curriculum. It's a rare treat to find a game that is both fun and educational. This one provides the right mix of both.
