I think I have read just about every book out there on homeschooling. I love to read about homeschooling; it is a passion of mine. These are my children, my family--I want the best for them, right? Absolutely!

So when a new book on homeschooling comes along, I devour it! That is what I did with The Imperfect Homeschooler's Guide, by Barbara Frank. What a find! It's been awhile since I read something on homeschooling that really fired me up. I loved this book and its fresh take on homeschooling and the commitment it requires. No homeschooling parent does it perfectly. Together though, we can learn from one another and do our best for our children. That's what Barb is striving to do by sharing what she has learned along the way. It is a blessing!

This new e-book is 105 pages in PDF format. It is divided into 4 basic sections ("About Homeschooling," "Covering All the Bases," "Overcoming Obstacles," and "Organizing Tips") and includes a wealth of knowledge and tips. If you've been homeschooling for more than 15 minutes, you've come to the realization that you're not "just" homeschooling. This is a LIFESTYLE that encompasses much more than Johnny's math curriculum and how you choose to teach it. It is "the whole enchilada," family life in general. With her witty sense of humor, Barb shares great ideas for keeping it all running as smooth as possible.

I have thoroughly enjoyed this book and would highly recommend it! The only thing that could make it better is offering it in a printed version, but that's my personal preference. This book inspired me and gave me a ton of great ideas and tips. It's nice to know I'm not the only one out here that falls under the "Imperfect Homeschooler" banner!
