Slow and Steady, Get Me Ready Review by Kate Kessler and Lisa Heinrichs

Are you looking for just the right thing to use with your little ones? Are you feeling like they are being left out in the homeschool day? Well, look no further! This book is a gem. It includes 260 weekly developmental activities that use regular household objects. The activities come in the order of the age for which it is intended – from birth to five! Written by a retired teacher who taught kindergarten for over 20 years, the approach used is phonetic, which contributes to its success. This book is made available in many different languages, and is distributed all over the world. Very popular, and we can see why!

Here is another Slow and Steady, Get Me Ready review!

This book was enjoyed by our family. It is full of creative and stimulating weekly activities. Not only can I do these activities with our two-year-old but his five, six, and nine-year-old siblings can too! So they are all learning things (like helping, patience, etc.) and don't even realize it. It is that easy! You don't have to worry about getting special items, because they are usually normal household items.

In only a month, our two-year-old’s vocabulary has grown, he is memorizing things (I believe the week working on the one activity has helped this), he listens better, his fine and gross motor skills are improving, and he seems to be more observant. I am very pleased with this book and would highly recommend this for your own family or as a gift.
