David Borrink – Senior Designer of TOS Magazine
David BorrinkDavid Borrink designs The Old Schoolhouse® Magazine and has been part of TOS for three years. He met his wife, Sallie, online, and 15 years later they are still best friends. David and Sallie started their homeschooling journey this year when their only daughter, Caroline, started kindergarten. David has worked in graphic design for more than 25 years, starting in the corporate setting and then for the past 11 years in his own home business, Arts & Letters, which he runs with Sallie. David likes to spend time with his wife and daughter, read historical biographies, collect old road maps, drink cinnamon dolce lattes, and play with his daughter and her vast collection of stuffed animals. David says his mission at TOS “is to make everyone look good. I want my design and work ethic to glorify Christ so that everyone is promoted and encouraged, whether it be the authors, staff, or the reader. It’s all about them.”

Cheryl Duran – Designer
Cheryl DuranCheryl lives in southern California with her husband of 26 years, Gil. They have been blessed with 5 children, four graduated from homeschooling, and one more to go. Cheryl joined the TOS staff in late 2008 where she has done various online web and graphic work, as well as designing email blasts and coordinating e-newsletters, including The Homeschool Minute™. She loves working with her friends at TOS, and with the online homeschooling community. You’ll find her spending most of her free time cooking and doing crafts with her youngest son, Sammy. Cheryl feels very passionate about homeschooling and likes to encourage parents to prayerfully use their God-given rights to homeschool their children. She believes that homeschooling not only blesses parents with the opportunity to teach their children, but it also gives each child a chance to learn and explore with their own individual learning needs. Cheryl says that’s a blessing and opportunity that you can’t pass up!

Michelle Montgomery – Designer
Michelle MontgomeryMichelle Montgomery designs graphics and email blasts for TOS. She is a computer programmer who studied at Coleman University in San Diego, California. She lives in the small town of Peterborough, New Hampshire, with her husband Jonathan; two homeschooled children, Quinn and Evelyn; two ball pythons; a sulcata tortoise; a guinea pig; and a chocolate labrador named Penny. During her rare moments of free time she enjoys baking, reading, and playing competitive Scrabble in clubs and tournaments. Her main goal in life is to teach her children to love the Lord and depend on Him always.

JoAnn Marie – Webmaster
JoAnn lives in Idaho with her wonderful husband, Paul, and their two teenage children, Sarah and Paulie. They have been married for over 19 years and started out their married life together outside Chicago, Illinois. She is a Christian, homeschooling mom, who works from home. She has enjoyed over 12 years of homeschooling with all the ups and downs that go along with that journey. JoAnn enjoys many hobbies including crocheting, photography, cross-stitch, card making, website design and blogging, to name a few. She loves to write about her different journeys in life on her website Watered Garden Creations, wgcreates.com. She’s been working for TOS since February 2013, and though she’s only been here for a short period of time, she has enjoyed her work immensely and looks forward to many more years with the company.
