Toss A Chore is a set of 2 dice with a chore listed on each side. They include such things as wash windows, set table, parent chooses chore, and--my children's favorite--child chooses chore. This little game couldn't be easier to use. Just toss the dice and do what it says. Any family trying to increase participation in housework could use these dice.

I really liked how simple this game was. Any child who can toss dice can participate. In our home, when a child fails to follow instructions, he or she earns a chore. Occasionally I am distracted with cooking dinner or attending another child and can't prescribe a chore right away. I can simply hand the dice to the offending child, and he can do what the dice said. The only thing I didn't like about the dice was that there were some chores that are not applicable in my home all the time. For example, "water plants" is only needed occasionally in the summer months. I overcame that by having the child toss again. Some of the chores are easier than others, and some are more geared for older children (clean bathroom). I would like to see more dice options available. For example, it would nice to have a set of dice for preschoolers, one for young elementary age, and one for older children.

My children have liked using the dice. They have been more apt to accept their consequence for their actions without a fuss. They have even asked to toss the dice just to get a chore for fun. I would recommend these to add some spice to the daily ritual of chores. They are fun and small and easily fit in mom's pocket to be used when needed.

This little game is inexpensive, fun, and easy to use. I definitely recommend it.
