Amazing Card Tricks is an amazing card trick book which includes 58 tricks, shuffles and illusions. The book is printed on 128 pages of nice, stiff, colorful paper. It does not come with a deck of cards or other accessories.

Amazing Card Tricks covers a lot of different remarkable card tricks. The book is broken into five sections, each containing card techniques and tricks.

The author explains the tricks really well. Each trick's instruction includes photos of white gloves performing the tricks, step by step. The photos are very useful in helping you understand the tricks. As the book progresses, the author doesn't explain as much because you already understand the basics.

I think this book should be for kids ages 9 and up. A student using this book would need to know how to read some of the harder words like interlaced and outstretched. This book is not for beginners, but for people with a little bit of experience with magic tricks or card tricks. If I had not read a couple other magic tricks books, I would not have been able to understand this one.

My favorite part of Amazing Card Tricks was learning The Wave. You take a deck of cards and equally spread out the cards upside-down in a straight line. You pick up the first card and lift it up, moving it to the right and then back again. Similar to the domino effect, you can make an astonishing wave with the cards!

The only thing about this book that I did not like was the trick called Fortune Telling. Even though the author is joking about telling the future, some people could be offended.

The book only costs $10.79 from Barron's Educational Series. It is worth the money for the pictures and trick instructions.
