Fiddle for Kids is a friendly introduction to fiddle technique taught by teenage siblings, Luke and Jenny Anne Bulla. They have won many fiddle competitions, and their pleasant instruction adds to their knowledge and expertise.
The DVD is broken up into several lessons, which begin by teaching the parts of a violin and move through proper holding of the bow and fiddle as well as playing. By the end of the DVD you will have learned to play a few songs.
My son really enjoyed watching this. It helped to have the adorable little brother demonstrating many of the techniques. It gave my own little boys the idea that they too could play the fiddle. While there aren't lots of special effects and it is a fairly simple content, the instructors are knowledgeable and have an easy-to-understand way of teaching. We enjoyed this and found it a worthwhile introduction. I can see it would be a great asset in learning to play this wonderful instrument.
