Laid Back Learning Review by Teri Lucas

Need an idea or two, perhaps three or four to liven up that unit study, math assignment, or even grammar? Are you tired and in a rut in your studies? Do you feel like if you have to come up with even one more idea for that reluctant learner than your head is going to explode? Well then, you had better rush right out and purchase a copy of Laid Back Learning!

When Gena sent me the book for review, I looked at the cover (Laid Back Learning, A, B, C, 1, 2, 3) and thought, "Oh good, another preschool idea book."

"I have a preschooler. I need lots of help." As I opened the first few pages and began to explore was I ever surprised. This was no preschool idea book. This was a 108-page explosion of creativity! If you have a subject that needs a "boost," Laid Back Learning has your "fuel." You might decide to construct a "Creative Center" where your child can work on his or her own, or you may create a board game together and then sit down to "play" for a while. On the other hand, if you're really frazzled you might give up and run errands (all the while trying your talent at a travel game). Maybe those book reports are getting you down, why not assign one of the "30" ideas featured in the "Books and Beyond" section! Feel like taking a fabulous field trip? How about mixing up those spelling words one more time? Do you need to drill some facts, but you just can't find the right "flashcards?" It is all right here.

No, it's not another preschool idea book. Laid Back Learning is not laid back at all. It is a sonic boom of ideas ready to help your student take flight into the wonderful world of learning!
