Let’s Get Ready for Kindergarten English/Spanishfrom Cedar Valley Publishing is a 36 page, bilingual book that introduces younger children to early childhood skills. This book is smaller in size and has very thick, sturdy pages. The glossy pages are very colorful and enticing to little ones. Your child will learn skills such as letters, sounds, opposites, seasons, colors, shapes, counting, time, money, left, right, and more. The price of this book is $15.00.

Let’s Get Ready for Kindergarten is intended for children in the age range of two to seven years old. This book may be used in many ways. Depending on the skills your children already know, you may use this as part of your daily curriculum, or you may use it to find out which skills your children need to learn and practice only those. I like to pick up the book here and there, sometimes several times a day, and just open the book and practice something from it. Sometimes this may only be a few minutes, other times we may “play” with the book for a long time. Whether you speak English or Spanish, you will be able to use this book. If your child is interested in learning another language they may also learn the skills and words in their opposite language. This book may be used by all preschool-aged children; you do not have to be a homeschool family to enjoy this book.

I believe this a wonderful addition to any family’s library that has young children. It is a staple that will remain on the bookshelf to use over and over. Let’s Get Ready For Kindergarten has a lot of basic skills inside of one small, lightweight book that your children will need to learn to be ready for Kindergarten. My son and I have been loving our time spent learning from this book. My son sits on my lap and we snuggle up while we learn our shapes, letters, etc. I love that it breaks the skills up into little chunks so that you and your children do not get overwhelmed. You can let your children pick what they want to learn each day, or you could work through the book as if it were a curriculum. Any way that you and your family choose to use this book, you will be helping your children learn their basic early childhood skills and preparing them for Kindergarten.
