My Little Veterinarian Kit Review by Audrey TolleLittle Medical School

Creative play and hands-on learning is such an important element of any homeschool and I am always eager to try new hands-on activities for my children, especially if they are STEM related. I had the opportunity to review the My Little Veterinarian Kit, which is a STEM based product by Little Medical School that’s purpose is to bring “medicine, science, and the importance of health to children 4-12 in an entertaining, exciting, and fun way.” My Little Veterinarian Kit includes: Little Medical School white lab coat, plush dog, student ID badge, markers, tape measure, assessment forms, modeling dough, dog-bone cookie cutter, recipe card, tweezers, tick stickers, plastic bag, gloves, diploma, and workbook.
The stuffed dog is simply adorable and the lab-coat gives the child the sense of being a real veterinarian. The booklet and instructions are very clear and give lots of fun information about taking care of an animal. The tick stickers are cute and give the student the opportunity to remove them with tweezers following proper tick removal protocol. Also for fun, there is a recipe to make dog treats and a cookie cutter.
My children really enjoyed this kit. Though none of them had ever declared that they wanted to be a veterinarian before, this kit sure gave them the feeling of being one and has piqued that interest in a couple of them. It is a quality product for the price. My only wish is that it came with a few more tick stickers, but overall, we were very impressed by this fun kit.
