"I am glad that Greenleaf Press did the work for me and produced this handwriting book." -- TOS Magazine

"Show nothing to your friend that may affright him" is the third rule from George Washington's Rules of Civility and Decent Behavior in Company and Conversation. Handwriting by George, produced by Greenleaf Press, is a handwriting copybook featuring the first 27 rules from his book. It is a drawing and writing book, not a handwriting curriculum. You choose the handwriting method that your child will use. If you are not familiar with Rules of Civility and Decent Behavior in Company and Conversation, you are in for a treat. The 110 rules that George Washington wrote into his schoolbooks deal with polite behavior with which any gentleman or lady should be well acquainted. Each two-page spread in Handwriting by George has room to copy the rule (often more than once) and an entire page to illustrate the rule. Keeps it fun! Samples of student work are included in Handwriting by George. Greenleaf Press plans to produce additional volumes of Handwriting by George. We have a well-used copy of Washington's Rules of Civility and Decent Behavior in Company and Conversation and I have often thought they would make a super handwriting program. I am glad that Greenleaf Press did the work for me and produced this handwriting book.
