Ninja Versus Ninja is a two-person strategy game for ages 8 to adult. It comes with a game board, two sets of Ninja playing pieces, score-keeping Ninjas, two dice, and the rules, of course.

The long narrow game board contains a gridded playing space. The red and black Ninja playing pieces are set up in a specific pattern at the outset of the game on their corresponding dojos (home courts) with a neutral zone between them. Each side also has a shadow tract and a scoring track to be used with a shadow Ninja and a Ninja master to aid in the score keeping.

The object of the game is to either score seven points by going on successful missions across the neutral zone into the opponent's dojo and back, or by capturing the opponent's Ninjas. The further one ventures into the opposing dojo during a mission, the more points one earns.

Once you grasp the rules of legal moves and missions, the game is fun and addictive. Since a game is relatively short (15-20 minutes) rematches are a natural consequence.

Ninja Versus Ninja is a fun way to teach and learn strategy. Don't forget to include this game when you study Japan!
