Basic Math Skills Grade 3 Review by Dawn OaksEvan-Moor Educational Publsihers

Basic Math Skills Grade 3 is a collection of math activity pages that cover the content in the current NCTM standards and is designed by the publisher to support other math curriculums. The activity pages would supply adequate math practice for the topic being learned. However, there are no instructional materials or examples. The homeschooling parent would need to provide the instruction on the concept and then use these materials as the daily skill practice.
A set of 5 activity pages are provided as skill practice for each math concept. A math test follows, which will assess the student's grasp on the concept. The math tests are formatted in a similar fashion as those on standardized tests. Additional tools that come in this product are reproducible timed tests and flash cards for multiplication and division.
In general, a good variety of questions and problems are presented to cover each math concept. However, this homeschooling mom would love to see a little bit more review of past concepts to occur through the book. Items covered at the beginning of the year are not seen again once the test for that concept is completed.
