Origin of Expressions Review by Sarah Van Der Linden

Discovery Bay Games
211 Taylor Street, Suite 401 A and B
Port Townsend, WA 98368

Ever sat around in the evening wondering what to do? The game Origin of Expressions is sure to turn those uneventful evenings into fun family time! Included are easy-to-follow instructions, special playing cards, a sand timer, score cards, lined sheets, pencils (and lots of giggles!). Your kids will learn quick concise writing skills, figures of speech, and even a little bit of history. Even though this game is recommended for ages 12 and up, my 10-year-old sister was able to compete against us ... and she even won!

When the "it" person calls out the expression and the general meaning, all the other players begin to scribble, because you've only got three minutes! Then the caller reads all the possible origins submitted by the players, secretly mixing the correct answer into the stack. Which is the right answer? Guess right and you'll score! We enjoyed this game because it made us laugh at ourselves and at the real answer too.

This game helps you think faster, write smarter, and bluff better than you thought you really could. After all, it's "the game that keeps you guessing!"
