Bats and frogs and fawns, oh my! Animal lovers will find this DVD a delightful change from the corny preschooler fare so widely available. It is filled with catchy songs and delightful stories that are so fun your children will not even realize they are learning.

The story begins with a proclamation in song as the forest animals glory in the arrival of spring. Through the story of the fawn, viewers meet many fascinating animals, reptiles, and insects. The photography of real scenes from the forest is captivating.

My children who range in age from 8 to 15 all enjoyed watching this DVD, and so did I. The close-ups of mother birds feeding their young, a nursing baby fawn, and raccoons mingling playfully in the forest are precious. Whet your young children's appetites for nature shows with this beautiful look into a springtime forest.
