Teens Prep for College in National Academic Homeschool Competition

Level II NAHC Results Announced, and Virtual Competition Continues

GRAY, Tenn. – February 28, 2023 -- PRLog – Homeschooled teens from across the country are learning lessons on getting into college, and they’re having fun doing it. They’re participants of the first-ever National Academic Homeschool Competition (NAHC). The NAHC is an entirely virtual competition that provides homeschooled students ages 12–18 the opportunity to put their knowledge to the test nationally. The NAHC, sponsored by CTC Math, is a partnership between two organizations well known for promoting excellence in education: The Old Schoolhouse® and College Options Foundation.

“Colleges love homeschoolers,” said Gena Suarez, long-time publisher of The Old Schoolhouse® Magazine. “Homeschooling families love the NAHC. This new competition removes the pressure of the college prep process. NAHC participation is a valuable step towards an exciting future.”

“Students find enormous benefits from the NAHC, and ultimately save tens of thousands of dollars in college costs,” said Terry Wilfong of College Options Foundation. “They have access to practice tests as well as Total College Success, which is a complete guide for getting into, paying for, and succeeding in college. NAHC students also enjoy Zero Hour Threat. It’s an interactive game that prepares students for the SAT and ACT, while increasing their knowledge of core subjects like math, science, and English.”

All students who registered for the NAHC have now completed Levels I and II of the competition. The competition leaderboard has been updated and is on display. The two test scores combined identify the top performers who will move on to the National Championship round, culminating in monetary awards and prizes, to be held April 17–20, 2023.

“Congratulations to the hard-working students who have just completed Level II of the NAHC,” added Suarez. “We wish you the best in the championship round, and ultimately, wish you success for your future.”

NAHC championship results will be published on April 24, 2023, and NAHC competitions will be held annually.
