Coral Reef Animals Book 1: Invertebrates Review by Jenny Underwood

We also received the book "Coral Reef, Animals, Book 1, Invertebrates A Guide in Rhyme" by Eve Heidi Bine-Stock. This is a paperback book also.

This book is fantastic! It takes all the different creatures of the coral reef and tells you a short rhyming story about them. It also pronounces all the hard names for you.

Some of the creatures we studied in this book were Sea Anemones, Sea Sponges, and the Starfish.

I read this aloud to the children several times, and they loved the brightly colored pictures. I loved how informative it was too!

I also used this as part of my younger son's reading program where he repeats what I have read aloud to him. I thought it would be great practice with some more difficult to pronounce words.

Like her other book, this book is unique and makes a fantastic addition to your learning library.

Unlike many rhyming books, this one makes sense and teaches multiple areas at once (rhyming, zoology, biology).

This is a fantastic book to read over a longer period and really dig deeper into each part. It would be fantastic to do drawings of each part of the coral reef and make a model coral reef! In fact, I plan to do this with the children when we are stuck inside this winter!
