More Than Meets the Eye Review by Lori Moffit

Home Front Heroines Series

More Than Meets the Eye, written by CarrieDaws, is a story primarily about Air Force wife Lori Braxton, but of course her husband Jonathon and their children play a big part;  as does her very close friend Joy. A story written about a real-life family, More Than Meets the Eye is part of the authors Home Front Heroines Series. This novel is available in both paperback ($7.99) and Kindle EBook ($2.99) versions, and can be purchased at Amazon.

Just as the 9-11 crisis is happening, pregnant Lori, Jonathon and their two children are in the process of moving from one military post to another. They arrive in Montana where Jonathon will be working with nuclear weapon systems. Between serious financial trouble and Jonathon’s sleep issues, Lori despairs of how to handle it all. If Jonathon seeks medical help for the sleep issues, he can lose his clearance to work with nuclear weapons systems, so instead of doing so he continues to have major problems in this area. This causes issues between he and Lori, as she begins to basically feel like a pregnant single mother.

Lori and Jonathon begin arguing, and he does finally go for help. Will he be able to convince his commanding officers that with disallowed medications he will be better able to do his job? Will Lori find a way to let God help her to be less anxious? I would tell you, but I really want you to read this story about a real family! The names of all the participants have of course been changed, but this story is about a real family, who did live through all of these issues and more.
