The Proverbs 31 woman is infamous to most women. Her character traits listed are numerous and cause me to stand in awe. I want so badly to have those traits and to teach them to my daughter as well. I was amazed when I found this sweet book by Elizabeth George, "God's Wisdom for Little Girls, Virtues and Fun from Proverbs 31."

There are 19 character traits in the book. Each trait has a verse or two from Proverbs 31 and a picture of a young girl that is reflecting the said trait. The artwork is stunning. We have spent many story times simply enjoying the pictures. We chose to pick one character trait a week to work on. I used the Bible verse listed to remind my daughter that God calls us to be holy and what that means. That is a hard subject for a four-year-old to grasp, but this book made the conversation so much easier.

This book was challenging for me. I knew the character traits were ones that I wanted to work on and to instill in my little girl. I just never thought about the fact that she would be watching me. With her little eyes fixed on me, I have been more aware of the weekly trait that we are studying. The age range on this book says 2-5, but this mom is learning just as much as my four-year-old daughter!
