As a mother of four daughters, I am always looking for quality modest and appropriate swimwear. I want quality fabric, good sun and bun coverage, and a product that will last. I believe I have found that at HydroChic! The site has many choices, and for this review, I was given the Amphi Spirit Athletic Skirted Capris, the Tidal Tank Sporty Sleeveless Swim n’ Gym Top, and a Supreme Swim and Sports Bra.

The Amphi Spirit Athletic Skirted Capris are something that can be worn for activities like biking or walking in addition to boating and swimming. They offer great coverage without the weight of other clothing types. They have a UPF 50+ sun protection, are chlorine proof, and are made of 47% polyester and 53% PBT. I had to look that last one up! PBT (polybutylene terephthalate), is a newer fabric now used with athletic wear and swimwear. It is a form of polyester known for its elasticity, and is also quick-drying, and can even repel the water once wet. You often find it in competitive swimwear. I was pretty excited to find it in these capris. I requested black and it is a nice solid dark black. The set is sewn together at the top near the covered elastic waistband, with the capris extending at least 8.5 inches past the skirt, and the skirt comes about four inches above the knee. (This will vary due to sizing.) The skirt is free flowing, but depending on the size, will fit snugly to the body without being too tight. There is a small front right pocket inside the skirt. Sizing runs from XS through 4X, and pricing from $79-$85. I really love this product!

The Tidal Tank Sporty Sleeveless Swim n’ Gym Top I received is black and jade, but it is also available in solid black, black/violet, and black/bright coral. The colors are bright and cheery and add a little splash of fun to the otherwise black ensemble. It covers to the edge of the shoulders and is a scoop boat neck for high sun coverage. This top comes with a free Supreme Swim and Sports Bra! I was really excited about this because I have worn tops similar in nature, and you simply cannot wear them without a bra that offers coverage for when one is cold. It has just enough padding in the front to prevent any unwanted issues! You can select from a cup bra or a no-cup bra and the bra is black. The no-cup bra has an elastic band around the bottom for a secure fit. Sizing for this also runs from XS through 4X, and pricing from $72-$78. The top is 53% polyester and 47% PBT and is also chlorine proof. This is also wonderful for any athletic activity in addition to swimming.

Our family spends a lot of time boating and swimming in the hot California sun. I am thrilled for the extra leg protection the longer capris offer me. I have very white skin and the sun is harsh. I am also thrilled for the UPF 50+ sun protection. This is a feminine swimsuit that offers great coverage, is very comfortable, and I expect it will last for many years. The old adage, “You get what you pay for.” is absolutely true. I am thrilled with my HydroChic products and can’t wait to share about the company with my friends!
