Ronnie Wilson's Gift is an absolutely wonderful 36-page picture book for children of all ages. Ronnie Wilson, a young boy, learns that Christ came to Earth with the gift of salvation. He wants to give Jesus a gift in return, and he decides on his most prized possession--a baseball glove signed by his uncle who plays in the big leagues.

Ronnie quickly runs into an issue with his plan. He can't figure out how to deliver this gift to Jesus in heaven. He first stop is at the post office, and he is informed that gifts cannot be mailed to heaven. As he leaves, he runs into a sad, hungry man and thinks to buy this man a hot dog at the hot dog stand. His next idea is to jump up to heaven on his trampoline. While jumping, he noticed the boy next door watching him, and he invites this boy to jump with him. The next day, Ronnie decides to tie the glove to a balloon at a carnival, but about the time he plans to let the balloon go, he notices a young girl upset because her balloon had floated away. Ronnie gave this girl his balloon.

Ronnie went to bed feeling rather discouraged because he hadn't been able to get the baseball glove to heaven. In Ronnie's dream that night, Jesus thanks Ronnie for his gifts, and goes on to explain that every time Ronnie loved his neighbor, he was giving a gift to Him. Ronnie woke up the next day with a new plan for his baseball glove. He gave it to a friend who wanted to play baseball but couldn't because he didn't have a glove.

Ronnie Wilson's Gift is a fabulous book that reminds us all, young and old, to look for opportunities to serve our Lord by loving our neighbors--whoever they might be. This is a picture book that belongs in every Christian's home library.
