Bands on the Run: The Rubber Band Movie Review by Christine Hindle

It is the animated story of five little shaped bands (the collectible bands that are popular with kids) and a regular rubber band that meet up after falling off the delivery truck. This quirky movie is mildly entertaining for adults but highly entertaining for the kids in the age range for collecting these little bands. It has no educational value -- just pure entertainment. The little bands go through a multitude of experiences before finally arriving at their intended destination, the store, where they are "collected" by a family of children.
The DVD comes with a bonus packet of the shaped bands in the shapes of the movie's characters. Also included on this DVD are "Animated Storyboards, Interviews with the Animators, Split-screen Animatics"
This cute movie sells for $12.99 on Amazon. It would make a great gift for your elementary-aged child.
