An Elegant Floral Alphabet Review by Anissa DeGrasse

An Elegant Floral Alphabet is a workbook designed for girls in grades 2-6. The workbook is printed in black and white and begins with "Easiest cursive letters". It shows the manuscript letter, the cursive formation of the letter, and then several traceable formations of the cursive letter. The worksheets progress to formations of more complex letters and then onto formations of sentences.

Each page is beautifully scripted and includes photos of various flowers. Even though the workbook is printed in black and white the photos are beautifully done and can be colored by the student. The book is reproducible within each family.

I would highly recommend this workbook to any homeschooling family. It is affordable, well planned, and beautifully laid-out. The worksheets progress at a pace so children can easily learn how to correctly form the letters. This is a wonderful resource for daily handwriting practice.

LightHome Publications has also produced several other handwriting workbooks: The Thankfulness Journal, I Like Animals Penmanship, and Great Quotes from U.S. Presidents. On their website, you can download sample pages from each book including An Elegant Floral Alphabet.

LightHome Publications is owned and operated by he Dunlap family who is a homeschooling family of seven children. They also publish several magazines and curriculum for your homeschool. On their website you can find more information about all of their publications and download samples.
