Moody Science Videos: Worksheets for Video Series Review by Camilla Anderson

This CD contains worksheets (PDF files) for all twenty of the Moody Science Classics videos (DVDs), including City of the Bees, Mystery of the Three Clocks, Prior Claim, Dust or Destiny, God of Creation, and the rest. Most of the worksheets have about forty-five questions (one has seventy-eight questions!), mostly multiple choice or true/false. The worksheets can be filled out during the video or after the video to see how much is remembered. The worksheets seem to be appropriate for at least the fourth grade level on up.

The Moody Science Classics are fabulous videos, one of the few curriculum treasures we keep. These worksheets maximize these videos. The questions are straightforward, chronological for the video content, and help solidify the scientific facts and Biblical truths presented in the videos. We first tried the worksheets by filling them out as we watched a video. Then we tried watching the video and filling out the worksheets afterwards, seeing how much we could remember. Then we settled on our favorite method: watch the video once, fill out the worksheet afterwards (a contest to see who remembered the most!), then watch the video again to fill in the holes. We have owned the Moody Science Classics DVD set for several years, but these worksheets definitely enhanced the learning experience through the videos. My children remember more from these videos than they ever did before.

I like it when I find a product like this--the kind I call "no-brainers." It's inexpensive ($9.97), high quality (well-written), and very helpful. If you own, or plan to purchase, borrow, or rent, the Moody Science Classics, get these worksheets. They are the perfect supplement and definitely enhance educational value of the Moody Science Classics.
