The New Harvest Homestead newsletter is a treasure trove of homestead-related articles, recipes and much, much more.

Lisa Vitello and a number of likeminded writers share their homestead experience, ideas, recipes and other good things, in the pages of this interesting and well-designed newsletter. With crisp black and white type and attractive clip art throughout, the newsletter is easy to read, and will be one you will want to keep for future reference.

The yearly subscription rate for 6 bimonthly issues is a very reasonable $12.00 for the electronic version. Also, for those who cannot download electronic files, they do offer a paper copy subscription for $21.00 per year.

The 30-page November/December 2006 issue contains: articles with a Christmas theme to inspire you, home remedies, natural winter skin care with recipes for making your own scrubs, lip balms and other items; plus many recipes for holiday cooking, as well as some ideas for using up those leftovers. There is an article about the history of the chestnut tree and information about other nut trees, an article on putting your garden to bed for the winter, and other tips and tidbits from homesteaders all over the country.

With categories such as: Homestead Things, Homestead Kitchen, Homestead Garden, Homestead Flocks, Titus 2 Wisdom, Homestead to Homestead, and Book Nook- there is almost certainly something for everyone who lives, or wants to live, the homestead life in the pages of this newsletter. Only if you have no interest at all in things of the homestead nature, could you be disappointed in this excellent product. I heartily recommend this newsletter and will be ordering my own copy soon!
