If you like being organized or are sentimental, take a look at this resource. My Reading Journal is a keepsake album that chronicles your child's reading record from preschool through grade twelve. Places for photos, lists of classics, descriptions of favorite books, blank pages for family read alouds, and blank pages for each grade level can be found throughout the book. Maybe like me, you love books and have favorites you want to remember. When I picked up this book my thought was, I wish I had this for the first child I homeschooled. Instead, I hope to start it with my youngest this year.

The files of books on my computer or the print outs probably won't stand the test of time like this keepsake. If you are concerned about keeping up with it, you can always assign the job to a child! Know someone starting their homeschool journey? This book would make a welcoming gift.
