Up, Down & All Around is an exercise and movement program on DVD. It is intended for children ages two and up. Designed for all ability levels, the program teaches body awareness, strength, endurance, and agility.

Eight main tracks and three bonus tracks take the children through several elements of movement. They learn about low, mid-level, and high positions; directional movement; personal space; and more. I believe the exercise on personal space could be"especially"beneficial for children who struggle to understand that concept.

Children's music artist Steve Blunt (www.steveblunt.com)"performs"live original music in the background. The music is very catchy and pleasant to hear. Some children's videos become annoying after multiple times of hearing them. That is not the case with Up, Down & All Around.

At the company's website, www.leapinglegs.com, an eight-page pdf movement guide is available, as well as coloring pages and other activities to download.

My family enjoyed this DVD. Not only did the children have fun and get moving, but they also learned important concepts. I recommend Up, Down & All Around to families with toddlers, preschoolers, and young elementary children.
