Miss Hawthorne is an art teacher who's in a rut. Her classroom is cold and dark, and she has lost her love for creativity. She doesn't have a thing out of place and wants to keep it that way! Everyone else in the class conforms to her standards, except for a colorful, imaginative young lady named Willow. Willow sees "pink trees" and "blue apples" when she closes her eyes, and she paints her artwork accordingly! Miss Hawthorne can't understand this "horrid little girl" who breaks crayons, scribbles, and daydreams, but a loving, sacrificial gesture from Willow will change everything!

This is a delightful story filled with colorful, fun illustrations. It reminds us that we can learn a lot from children and their open, creative hearts! We enjoyed this story and know that you will too.
