A Woman of Noble Character is inspired by Proverbs 31. Specific verses from that passage are used to introduce the various topics in the book. Topics include daily priorities, decorating your home, keeping your house clean, finances, shopping, homemade gift ideas, keeping your household organized, entertaining and serving, cooking and dining, recipes, and household tips. The appendix includes meal spreadsheets, menus, shopping lists, cleaning lists, and birthday charts. A resource section suggests books, websites, and local consultants that could prove helpful to the reader.

The author is writing from the perspective of someone who works outside the home during the school year and stays at home during the summer--a traditional school teacher's schedule. This is reflected in the suggested schedules. The author does make a point that these schedules are merely suggestions and can be adapted as necessary.

This spiral-bound book is a great resource for home management skills. The tips are very beneficial for anyone who is (or aspires to be) a wife and/or mother. The focus on pleasing God is maintained throughout the book. For the wonderful ideas in all areas of home management, I do recommend this book. As with any resource, there may be ideas that conflict with your viewpoint. While I don't agree with all that the author says, the overall content is beneficial. This book would be an excellent resource to share with your daughters as they seek to develop home management skills.
