Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1-1/4 cups all purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips (or whatever you like to substitute: raisins, sprinkles, etc.)

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350° F
  2. Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
  3. In a large bowl, cream butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Blend in egg and vanilla. Mix well.
  5. In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt.
  6. On low speed, add flour mixture until blended.
  7. Add chocolate chips and stir them in.
  8. Using a tablespoon, scoop the cookie batter and drop onto the lined cookie sheet 2 inches apart.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until cookies are set and edges are light brown.
  10. Place cookies on cooling racks to cool. Makes about 1 1/2 dozen cookies.
